Just for fun

I've mentioned before that blogworld can be approached two ways: By becoming the friend of a friend -- borrowing friends from other people's link lists. Or one can do the equivalent of tapping complete strangers on the shoulder in a crowd and inviting them to lunch -- just picking out a blog at random and exploring it.

I did that tonight. I hit a couple of stupid ad blogs and one porno site (ick) before I landed on: gonetothedog.blogspot.com. Another dog-lover, Dawn, whaddyathink?

I've invited Her to visit this blog and see if She likes it. Wouldn't it be cool to bring in someone who none of us know and share this fun little blog community of ours with Her?

Hi ECD,
I ran over to Gone to the Dogs, and left a comment on her dog's blog. I hope our pups can correspond.
Thanks so much for the heads up, and tail waggin'.
You are a good social blogger, and you might be going to the dogs:)

How do you go about surfing to unknown blogs? I am curious, please share.

Chase,
I have found some fun blogs by looking at Google main page blogs category, and seeing who is blogging about what I am blogging about.

Leslie: Wouldn't it be wonderful to strike up a friendship with this Lady, whoever She is? I just hate to see a good blog with no comments to it.

But She hasn't posted over here yet.

Chase: If you sign out of Blogger, on that page is a little window to the left where blogs flash up as their authors update them. You just click on one that looks interesting -- but you have to be fast or it will be gone forever, or at least until it's updated again. I think that was how I found you!

I have to be a snob and say Dog people rule! :p

I love that Comet has a blog as well. I actually thought about creating one for Skootchie when I started mine, but I'm glad I didn't. Having to explain why there wouldn't be any more posts would've killed me in an already ridiculously difficult time!

Great find ecd!
