Life intrigues me

For one who loves to learn, the world is a vast and beautiful labyrinth. Each step into a new passageway reveals even more passageways ready to be explored, ad infinitum.

I have been studying the Philippines, that archipelago where I was almost born.

I have been studying India, which would take a hundred lifetimes to fully comprehend; and I have long been studying Egypt -- a cultural casserole of the famous but yet so little-known ancient society with its Pharoahs, its Osiris and Isis and ba-birds and pyramid texts; of the later Coptic Christian society; and of the current Islamic overlay.

And everytime that I visit your blogs, dear readers, I am reminded that each one of you is a universe yourself, a sentient being of indescribable worth and fascination, whether Woman or man.

Whether in the contemplations of Chase March or the wanderings of Scarlett, the DNA of a dandelion or the depiction of Re, life intrigues me.

What matters is what we do, not what we say!

Thanks for visiting me. You have an interesting blog. I agree that life is intriguing, especially if you just let it take its course. I'm trying to do that more these days instead of always trying to control what happens....

Welcome, Molly! I hope that You will visit here often.

Giving up control is hard to do.

There is so much out there to be intrigued about. Sometimes I wish I was a student again so I would have the time and excuse to do a lot of research and find out about things that interest me. I actually miss writing essays. Strange, huh? I know that was probably the least favourite part of university life of everyone else I knew but I loved it.

I find life fascinating. Being a Gemini (or is it ADD?), I tend to breadth of knowledge rather than depth. It is the variety that gets me. The vastness of both what there is to discover, and ways in which it can be expressed.

Chase: You've got to make the time!Learn right along with those lucky students of yours!

Rebecca: I had no idea -- ADD tends towards breadth rather than depth of knowledge? That explains a whole lot about me, since I have that very same gift. (I hate to call it a disorder when it shapes who I am and I like who I am!)

I have no idea about ADD, really. It is now considered a medicatable disorder. It wasn't when I was growing up, we were just told to pay attention. But if you read the profile of a Gemini, you will see that breadth rather than depth is what we're about. We flit from topic to topic as it interests us, learn quickly an move on.

ECD, I learn from my students every single day. I learning is a live long adventure. It would just be nice if I could commit time just to that end, but I cannot.
