My ten greatest flaws

I wonder if some of you out there in blogworld might think that I am a little pretentious, even a little bit holier than thou, because I have laid bare on this blog some of my idiosyncracies, especially most recently.

So I thought I would counter that by listing what I believe to be my ten greatest flaws. Other people might have different suggestions.

1) I tend to get obsessive about things that I really like.

2) I can be very judgmental.

3) I am often quite impatient, even with my nearly-perfect Sweetie. I have exiled myself to the couch on many nights -- She would never send me there.

4) I have a terrible phobia of needles and other sharp things.

5) I accumulate clutter.

6) I have trouble dealing with authority figures.
7) I drive too fast.

8) I have a temper. It takes a little while to stoke it but it can be intense, although I can say my fists never get involved.

9) I am not good at understanding directions (as in how to do things. Navigation I am very good at.)

10) I am a life-long, probably incurable capnolagniac and a Female litterbug-niac.

11) I'm not good at math. (See?)

You are not an accumulator of clutter... you are a "holder-on-teur".

Ela: Oh, I know that I am stubborn, very, very stubborn. If I am convinced of something, if I really believe it, I will dig my heels into the ground until my knees are buried refusing to yield.

And I certainly know that I have many more flaws than ten. But I've beaten myself up enough for one night.

As for non-flaws, well, that's more fun:

My tastes are simple and I can go months without buying anything for myself but gas and food.

I consider myself to be relatively smart and I love to learn.

I'm not bad looking, I'm physically strong and I pay good attention to my hygiene.

I am compassionate.

I'm not perfect but I do my best, most of the time, to treat my Sweetie like the Goddess that She is. I don't let a day go by where She's not told that She is loved. And hugged. And caressed.

I do housework.

Eh, that's enough.

Leslie: I prefer Your terminology, although my meticulous Sweetie, with a great sad sigh, will forever call it clutter and beg me to be rid of it.

Brave of you to state your flaws but they don't seem too bad....rather normal really. At least I did not see traits like "I shoot squirrels for fun". Nope, nothing in that category.

I also confess to being a "holder-on-teur" although usually I use the term "pack rat".

What's the matter with clutter, as Edgar Guest said "It takes a heap O' livin to make a home."

8) anger pshaw man when it is called out it is rage and rage it will stay. You fight the wind with the whirlwind. Breezes you must of necessity learn to let pass.

So now what are your flaws because I didn't see any here?

Peace

mark

Gosh you sound pretty normal to me. The only one I'd consider a real flaw is 2 and we all have that in it us.
I learned a new word today - capnolagniac - I had to look that one up :)

I'm with you on 5 and 6.

the non-flaws are great.
hm, some of your friends have similar flaws:)

5 is pretty common, I also accumulate clutter

anyway, great day today, sunny.
Good day to all

ah, before I go, something non-flaw about me, hmm, weird how easy it is to put ourselves down and when it comes to point a good thing I have to think! I am a good cook and what else? oh, when I smile I glow with positive energy:) there!

You're a word person. You're not required to be good at math!

All in all, those flaws aren't so bad...

What a boring world this would be if we were all perfect in every way.

I always thought that the "it would be so boring if we were all perfect" phrase was somehow related to sour grapes...

I think I'm sort of a hoarder too, now that we're all confessing here. I keep notes and letters and scribblings and sometimes whole notebooks just for a line or two someone wrote long ago.

And I can't for the life of me throw away gift wrappings.

Flaws?
Those are not flaws. . .those are amazing things that make you even more amazing!

I think I am guilty of all of them but I look at them as giving me character.

I think we all share this list of traits to some degree or another, with the possible exception of number 10 :) I might use this idea on my own blog...I'll give it some thought. I'll need to if I am to limit myself to 10. Oh, and word people CAN be good with numbers. That is one of the things I like about me...balanced brain.
