Remembering Audrey

You know, all this Paris Hilton-Nicole Smith-Lindsey Lohan talk in the media these days has reminded me of one of my favorite people in the world -- someone absolutely unlike any of those so-called celebrities -- the late Audrey Hepburn.

Audrey's birthday would have been on May 4, and shame on me for failing to note it here.

She was talented, classy and worth her every pretty ounce in pure gold.

She had an actual life-story worth telling -- a brave part in the fight against the Nazis. She eschewed diva-dom. She remained humble and did actual humanitarian work in the world. She got along with people and was a good mother to her children.

Today's phony celebrities are just weeds to her eternal bloom.

This is very cool. I am reading around on your blog this afternoon, and find Audrey Hepburn. She was on my mind this morning, and I am not sure why.
I, too, find her to be one of the clasiest of ladies.

Fix my spelling, please, and then nix this comment. My keyboard and fingers don't always mix. classiest

I am so happy to finally see a comment to this post, Leslie. Audrey was a fine, fine Woman, a true Lady.

I can't fix Your comment,Leslie -- that's one of the flaws in Blogger. What You'd have to do is delete it completely and retype it.

Then Audrey will forever remain the "clasiest" of ladies.

We can't have that! Just select Your message, then hit the garbage can button to delete it, then repaste it into a new comment window, adding that missing s this time.
