In Memoriam

Benazir Bhutto has been killed.

A courageous Woman of great abilities, who could have done so much for Her nation, Pakistan, who could have helped restore peace, stability and democracy, has been killed by some brainwashed fanatic, may he rot in some foul hell for eternity.

God help us all, for Pakistan has a nuclear bomb.

I had not heard that. I am aghast.

I thought the same too ECD. My second thought was that India must be very nervous right now - even more so than the rest of the world

wow. i really do get my news from blogs these days. what terrible news! can't believe it.
i remember watching a few interviews with her a few months back. she was so conscious of the danger but so determined to make a difference.

That brave woman walked around with an 'X' on her back and even though what happened to her was an eventuality, it still comes as a shock. The innocent people of Pakistan who are just trying to live are the ones I feel for the most right now.

A tragedy for Pakistan and it will also impact the rest of the world. While she was not perfect herself, she should be admired for her strength, courage and intelligence. The poor disenfranchised Pakistani peasants benefited most under her leadership and will probably suffer the most with her gone.

May She rest in peace. And may the deserving people of Pakistan someday have a nation at peace, as well.

While I am greatly saddened that this happened, I unfortunately am not a bit surprised. Perhaps that is what is saddest...

What do you think of young Bilawal Bhutto?? I always thiught thirst for revenge was a rather bad start of ruling a country.
