Saturday evening at home

I have been on Layddee's celebrity blog today, reading about all their DUIs and custody battles.

Through my head runs that sad line from Neil Young, "it's better to burn out than to fade away."

With all due respect to Neil, I shall fade away and be glad about it -- not anytime soon, mind you!

This morning I wandered through the woods for two hours by myself, observing flora and fauna, and feeling quite sprightly as I hopped over logs and scaled slopes. I took pictures that I will post on Monday.

Tonight lentils and sausage are bubbling on the stove, bread is rising to be baked and I am happy at home. The stars can have their clubs and their parties.

PLEASE NOTE: This is in no way meant to malign LadyDdee's blog! She's great -- writes well, and I recommend a visit.

Hi there - I cannot find a way to email you but here's a couple links for your flower:
http://www.highcountrygardens.com/catalog/product/44212/

or

http://www.highcountrygardens.com/catalog/product/75746/
(That's a penstemen which is a possibility)

I searched the high country garden's site for "blue flower" and came up with a bunch.

I hope it helps!

Thank You, Claudia. I appreciate all the searching that You have done to help me identify my flower. That is very sweet of You.

Wait until You see on Monday all the wildflowers I photog'd in the forest today.

That was a lovely blog post, your writing style is very poetic.

I don't think that there's anything better than a long walk through the forest.:)

Hope you're enjoying the weekend!

Christy: I did. But now it's over. So unfair. )o:

I've tried both, but for the last decade I, like you, have chosen the 'fade away' course and it works much better and I'm infinitely happier. Sausages, lentils and home-baked bread sound much better to me than any party scene.

Ian: You are the voice of experience -- always what a wise person listens to. Thanks for checking back here at Isis. I need to spend more time at your blog as well.

looks yammy.
This what I would like to do one day, bake my own bread.
My grandma used to do this, but that was waaay back in the past.

It's an old German recipe. Turned out really good this time -- the yeast was happy and happy yeast makes happy bread.

Waiting on those pics.

The breads reminded me of implants. Sorry, I've been in Miami too long.

Those ends are MINE! Where's the butter?

Scarlet: I got waylaid in a very long meeting Monday. The pics will be uploaded Tuesday -- I'm excited to write about them.

Leslie: The butter is hidden so that I can eat the ends!
