It's a double tragedy to the world: One, that so little of the writings of this ancient poetic genius have survived; two, that most people know Her only in mocking or sincere Freudian musings, as some sort of label or euphemism for "the love that dare not speak its name -- when She should be loved as we love Shakespeare or Mozart, simply for Her work.
