In the tropical parts of the world, the local folk enjoy a fruit called Black Sapote or the Chocolate Fruit.
The fruit flesh is "rich, dark brown colored and custard like ... with a sweet, nut-like mild flavor... when the pulp is blended with milk or ice cream, it tastes like mild chocolate ..."
I want me some sapote!

ReplyDeleteomg... a cult called ? has spirited ecd away and we don't get to hear from him :-(
ReplyDeleteThe cult of ? (pronounced xee-hex-ah-kee-poh-tol) is indeed a deadly one, and I am lucky to have slipped free from its grip. My Dixie cup had a slight hole in the bottom and all the poison Kool Aid leaked out before I could drink it.
ReplyDeleteMy Arbor Day was very Arbory. I am happy to report the successful planting of four loblolly pines by the third graders of our school district, in a wooded preserve. Twas the culmination of months of planning.
